I'm looking for performance and vehicle data about passenger cars, enthusiast cars, and sports cars from the 1950s forward. I want to be able to compare modern cars to the classic cars I'd rather drive. I'm looking for things like time from 0 to 60 MPH, standing quarter-mile time, breaking distance, g-measurement on a skidpad, fuel economy, curb weight, physical dimensions, tire size, transmission type, engine displacement, and number of cylinders. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! 's review of the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport has a chart that shows the kinds of information I'm looking for.

If this information doesn't exist, I'll consider compiling it. If you're willing to help, please let me know.

Certain things you may not find from back in the day. Braking distance and skidpad numbers for example. Also keep in mind you will have to do tire conversions, too. I'll poke through some links and see what I find.

I don't know of any place that has done this comprehensively and it'd be a pretty large undertaking to compile. Like many days on the microfiche readers. One offs shouldn't be too bad, but even those can be hard to come by earlier than the 70s.

I started this bloody ages ago. Much like my engine spreadsheet, it started as just comparing my Alfa to other 2.5l saloons of the same age (the Alfa's quicker than most btw).

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/cc…

From there it's evolved into another honking spreadsheet. It's only got 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile, bhp, lb-ft, engine configuration, displacement, years of production, driven wheels, engine placement and body style.

It's got 2312 cars in it though :)

No problems :) I knew it would come in handy at some point.

It's far from comprehensive, and I haven't been bothered to add in all the new C-Classes and A-Classes and whatnot that have come out recently. It's also a little Euro-centric, me being in the UK.

Haha, haha, haha. You have to be kidding on the skidpad part, in the '50s vehicle dynamics was in its infancy, read the History section of Race Car Vehicle Dynamics and you'll see what I'm talking about.
